"Veden alla" is number two on the finnish album charts!
Emma Salokoski Ensemble's new album "Veden alla" went stright to number two on the Finnish album charts on the week of it's release. Number one was Slipknot. "Veden alla" was thereby the best selling Finnish record this week.

Kaksi mannerta sold gold
Emma Salokoski Ensemble's first album "Kaksi mannerta" sold gold. 15 000 records were sold by January 2008. By now the sales have reached 18 thousand.

"Veden alla" is relelased on the 27th of August
Emma Salokoski Ensembles new album "Veden alla" (Under the water) is released 27.8. The songs are mainly written by the band, but also songs from J. Karjalainen, Dave Lindholm and Tuomari Nurmio are featured on the album.

Emma Salokoski Ensemble's new album is ready. It will be released at the end of August. Tickets for the September tour on sale now at Lippupiste and Lippupalvelu, look under "gigs" for more details. The single "Rakkaus polttaa" reached number one on Radio Helsinki's chart in June, and number two on Radio Suomi.

It's a boy!
19.2.08 at 6.14 PM Emma gave birth to a baby boy, 4510g, 53cm, and looks like his mother. Many thanks to the great people at Kätilöopisto hospital!

Emma started her maternity leave
Autumns workload has finally been completed, and Emma is happy to step into motherhood full time! Emma is expecting her first child in February, and it will be a while until we see her on stage again.
In the meantime Emma Salokoski Ensemble has recorded material for their new album, and only percussion and vocals remain to be recorded. Part of the new songs are composed by band members, and part have been composed for the band. As usual, a couple of Finnish classics are also expected on the album. The gig in Belly last August sets the frame for the list of songs, but no final decisions have been made yet.

Emma Salokoski Ensemble records their new album
Emma Salokoski Ensemble plans to record their new album in November/December at the Finnvox studios in Helsinki. The album will probably be released in August -08.
